How Does Nutrius® Work?

Technological research has discovered many of the processes that cause aging of the skin and with that knowledge comes the potential to combat them. We now know that hormone levels change as we finish growing and as we approach our senior years. Free radicals, produced as byproducts of metabolism, damage body cells, causing aging of tissues and contributing to disease processes. Poor diet and sedentary lifestyles, along with exposure to environmental hazards such as pollutants and sunlight cause cumulative damage as well.

Emblica functions as a potent antioxidant and chelating agent. Antioxidants are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body. When our body cells use oxygen, they naturally produce free radicals (by-products) which can cause damage. Antioxidants act as "free radical scavengers" and hence prevent and repair damage done by these free radicals. An Antioxidant is a molecule capable of slowing or preventing the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that transfers electrons from a substance to an oxidizing agent. Oxidation reactions can produce free radicals, which start chain reactions that damage cells. Antioxidants terminate these chain reactions by removing radical intermediates, and inhibit other oxidation reactions by being oxidized themselves. As a result, antioxidants are often reducing agents such as thiols or polyphenols.

Although Emblica is reputed to have the highest content of vitamin C of any natural plant and is revered for its rejuvenating powers, most of the current scientific interest has centered on its unique tannins and flavanoids, which contain very powerful antioxidant properties. Even more exciting, studies indicate that Emblica has the ability to stimulate our natural antioxidant enzyme systems including catalase, superoxide dismutase SOD, and glutathione peroxidase.

Emblica helps protect the skin from damaging effects of free radicals, non-radicals and transition metalinduced oxidative stress. Emblica is suitable for use in anti-aging, sunscreen and general skin care. It eliminates signs of age spots, sun spots, sun damage, fine lines and deep wrinkles. Emblica inhibits collagenase which is the breakdown of collagen. It also stimulates glycosaminoglycans which are the building blocks of cartilage. Emblica is clinically proven to reduce and maintain younger looking skin.

Skin pigmentation disorders occur because the body produces either too much or too little melanin, a pigment that creates hair, skin, and eye color. Melanin protects the body by absorbing ultraviolet. In hyper-pigmentation, the body produces too much melanin, causing skin to become darker than usual. Lichen simplex chronicus is a skin disorder with severe itching that causes thick, dark patches of skin to develop. Lamellar ichthyosis (fish scale disease) is an inherited disease that also is characterized by darkened, scaly, dry patches of skin. Hyper-pigmentation also occurs in melasma, a dark mask-like discoloration that covers the cheeks and bridge of the nose. Melasma can occur during the end of pregnancy. Emblica acts as a skin lightener and brightener and can lighten reduce age spots, brighten tanned sun- damaged skin, smoothen out acne scars and stretch marks, lighten birth marks, elbows, knees, underarms and knuckles. Emblica is clinically proven to give a bright and even toned look.

Emblica is the primary ingredient in Nutrius, which we harvest using a patented water- base natural extraction process in order to ensure the highest quality extract. You can re-energize, repair and strengthen skin's ability to produce its own natural collagen. Eliminate spots, stretch marks, scars and have even tone skin. Smoothen out those fine lines and reduce those deep wrinkles. Nutrius, The Miracle Face Lift!

What is Aging?

There are different types of aging. Aging caused by the genes we inherit is called intrinsic (internal) aging. Aging is known as extrinsic (external) aging and is caused by environmental factors, such as exposure to the sun’s rays. Photoaging aging is caused by exposure to the sun’s rays.

Intrinsic aging, also known as the natural aging process, is a continuous process that normally begins in our mid-20s. Within the skin, collagen production slows, and elastin, the substance that enables skin to snap back into place, has a bit less spring. Dead skin cells do not shed as quickly and turnover of new skin cells may decrease slightly. While these changes usually begin in our 20s, the signs of intrinsic aging are typically not visible for decades. The signs of intrinsic aging are fine wrinkles, thin and transparent skin, loss of underlying fat leading to hollowed cheeks and eye sockets as well as loss of firmness in hands and neck, bone loss which causes the bone to shrink away from the skin that causes sagging skin, and dry itchy skin.

Extrinsic Aging caused by external often work together with the normal aging process to prematurely age our skin. Most premature aging is caused by sun exposure. Other external factors that prematurely age our skin are repetitive facial expressions, gravity, sleeping positions, and smoking. Without protection from the sun’s rays, just a few minutes of exposure each day over the years can cause noticeable changes to the skin. Freckles, age spots, spider veins on the face, rough and leathery skin, fine wrinkles that disappear when stretched, loose skin, a blotchy complexion, and skin cancer can all be traced to sun exposure.

Photoaging is the term dermatologists use to describe this type of aging caused by exposure to the sun’s rays. The amount of photoaging that develops depends on a person’s skin color and their history of long-term or intense sun exposure. People with fair skin who have a history of sun exposure develop more signs of photoaging than those with dark skin. In the darkest skin, the signs of photoaging are usually limited to fine wrinkles and a mottled complexion.

Photoaging occurs over a period of years. With repeated exposure to the sun, the skin loses the ability to repair itself, and the damage accumulates. Scientific studies have shown that repeated ultraviolet (UV) exposure breaks down collagen and impairs the synthesis of new collagen. The sun also attacks our elastin. Sun-weakened skin ceases to spring back much earlier than skin protected from UV rays. Skin also becomes loose, wrinkled, and leathery much earlier with unprotected exposure to sunlight.

There are many agents than can be used to reverse the signs of aging but the Emblica used in Nutrius has been clinically proven to work on all forms of premature aging of the skin.
